Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.dunlavinparish.com. The website is administered by a very small number of parishioners at St Nicholas of Myra in Dunlavin, Wicklow, Ireland.

Payment data

When you use PayPal on this site to make a donation, the only data we collect on this website for the payment is the donation amount, status of the payment, your email address and the date of the payment. This information can be seen by the website administrator, the Parish Secretary and Fr Douglas, with login access. No-one else can see this information from this website.

Our website transfers directly to Paypal, who manage all information needed to transact your payment, such as credit card details, your name and your household’s envelope number (if entered). No-one can see, store or retain this information at the website www.dunlavinparish.com. Only Fr Douglas and The Parish Secretary have access to the Parish Paypal account at www.Paypal.com, where they can see your name, your household envelope number (if entered), the donation amount, status of the payment, your email address and the date of the payment, for the purpose of updating the Parish’s financial records. No-one in Dunlavin Parish can see your credit card details either from http://www.dunlavinparish.com or from www.Paypal.com. The Paypal privacy statement is found here: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

Media

Only some people have access to upload posts to the Newsletter page, with a special login. The following applies only for them and for those who can edit the website (the website administrator): If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

The following only applies for those who have special login access to the website for example to upload Newsletters or edit the webpages. We do not store or use cookies for visitors to the website who do not have a special login access.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish a newsletter, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the Newsletter post you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites / Links to other websites

We do not have any embedded content from other sites on this website, but we do provide links to other websites, for example, links to Facebook, and bible and prayer resources. Clicking on links to other websites behaves in the exact same way as when the visitor visits the other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that page, including tracking your interaction with the page if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

This only applies to those with special login access: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

For users with special login access, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All these users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have special login access on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please contact the Website Administrator.

For all parishioners, we also provide you with an annual report of all donations you have made, whether given through this website with an envelope number, or given in an envelope in the basket at mass.

Where we send your data

Non-attributable envelope donation information is sent to the Archdiocese Office for financial administration purposes, as already happens for envelope contributions at mass.
